This is for anyone who hates getting on an elevator.

 ELEVATOR FEARS

If getting on an elevator fills you with dread,

listen to what the experts have said.

Don’t let your fears get the best of you,

Take some steps to avoid them instead.

Short, simple and very nicely said! Poetically correct! That's MUCH better than the political BS we hear from the swine. I'd rather read your poems all the time instead of listening to our politicians whine!

It is healthier to take the steps anyhow if one is able. If not, take a valium and take the lift or go to places that are on the street level floor. Change your doctors if you must and all other places that you need to go to. Cool write!! I have a fear of heights.

Love ya!

Walk into the closing box
and hitch up your falling socks,
say to hell with it all,
no worry, I won't fall.

Yes, indeed. People, myself included, sometimes have that feeling of dread when stepping into an elevator, especially after seeing the movie Speed. Suggestion: end the last line of the poem with "instead".

Yup! Where there are elevators, there are stairs.
