Crusin' The Caffeine Highway

A cup of joe to go please.

 CRUSIN’ THE CAFFEINE HIGHWAY

I’m crusin’ the caffeine highway,

Supercharged by coffee.

When I get on the expresso,

There’s no stopping me.

It’s my favorite drink,

Morning, noon and night.

Having a cup of coffee,

Makes everthing all right.

If I’m feeling sluggish,

Or my tank is running low,

I need a shot of coffee,

To pick up my get up and go.

I’ve got coffee on the brain.

I’m a coffee nut.

It flows through my veins,

I bleed coffee when I’m cut.

From the first cup to the last,

I love that fresh brewed taste.

Coffee always goes down so smooth,

I’ll never let a cup go to waste.

I have to have my coffee,

Or I get grumpy and curt.

Just give me the coffee,

And nobody gets hurt.

I'll remind myself not to get you angry before you have had your coffee. ;-)

Coffee nut? My partner refuses to give me more than 2 cups of coffee and any nuts anymore, because she is afraid that they cause kidney stones. ;-)

You are a man with a conviction and I won't cross your line, my man. It's all good.

Love ya!

You are a TRIP, Mike, a trip on coffee. I only get maybe one cup a week when I drive down to Delaware to see Rene; those early mornings are freakin' rough on my old bones & all the drivers make me crazy and the coffee keeps me from running them off the road. I used to drink it when younger when coming back home from a great distance, having a half cup of ice and 4 or 5 sugars then the rest in what is about equivalent to a shot of coffee. Boy, did that ever speed me up for a few hours of driving...I miss those days...funny write, thanks for the laughs...-e-

I believe the years of coffee have made us into the poets we are today. That is all I have to say.

Too funny Micheal but all so true. Got to get my coffee or I may get the caffeine blues. I used to drink it in morning, all day and night. I once told my doctor, I am in the Air Force, we take it intravenously! He told me to cut back. Now I drink coffee in the morning and licorice flavored tea the rest of the day. You have to love licorice and I certainly do. Then I slip in an espresso or two. LOL

Been drinking coffee since I was five-years-old. I make a pot in the morning and drink of it until around five o'clock in the afternoon. I love, love my coffee.

I've been drinking coffee since before the age of five...at least 68 years now. But can you believe, for some reason, I don't care for it like I once did. Go figure. But, I digress. You have done a great job as usual. There's no stopping Michael Schafer anytime soon, and it's all to our benefit. Thanks for sharing your humor. It brightens one's day.

Ditto all of this. Ah, coffee, the beloved brew. I limit myself to two, one of which always when I am writing. And one to wake me up while I am reading. Enjoyed this immensely, Michael. John
