LAUNDRY DAY AT THE CONVENT

It was laundry day at the convent,

And the laundry room was packed.

Mother Superior supervised,

As one nun did the washing and drying,

While the others folded and stacked.

All the nuns were there working,

Except Sister Rose Abbott.

She never does her laundry,

Which made Mother Superior wonder,

Does Sister Rose have a dirty habit?*

*A habit is the garment worn by nuns)
