ZIPPERS

You tug them up,

Or yank them down.

If you do it real fast,

There’s a zippy sound.

They have teeth that don’t bite,

But can pinch tender skin.

If they’re left open,

Something might get out, or in.

They hold back monsters,

Of enormous size.

They might be wingless,

But they get called flies.

When they come together,

They need to mesh.

To block the wind,

From reaching flesh.

They work hard all day,

From jackets to pants.

So just zip it,

And take a chance.
