A 'tankabun' about the discovery of healing and the friendship of time. If anyone would like particulars on the 'tankabun' just let me know.
Paper Breeze
Summer dances near
Staccato footfalls echo
Within bounds of spring
And calendar pages flip
Through days of uncertainty
She feels the paper breeze, 'moving time' as she calls it. Her thoughts drift into yesterday, riding tides of the past... and she sees the shreds of April scatter across other springs, hears the words cursing time, life... herself. She remembers the scent of lilies, the taste of rain... and chasing summers, denying springs their season, their healing. But impatient feet, tapping, tapping, shatter her reverie. Summer waits for the chase, the dance of avoiding spring. But where is her need to follow, to play the game?. Pages begin to still and footfalls begin to fade... and she breathes deeply of a paper breeze. Perhaps 'moving time' has made good on its promises because she is not so ready to leave springtime behind. She remembers again the scent of lilies, the taste of rain... love and laughter. She remembers and thinks it might be time to forgive... time to forgive spring and herself.
Very nice Myrna...to intwine thoughts and time into the emotions of healing of the soul is to know life itself...the unforgiving realty of everday life and the forgiving character of the heart and mind...
a very nice work of thought through poem...
After two readings, I vote this poem as one of your deepest, and I like much the contemplation before conclusion.- Neat and amazing work, here. Love, - Bill
I still like this form, Myrna, and what you do with it.
Since we can't undo the past, we may as well come to grips
with it and make the most of the present--which of course
is easier said than done. -gene.
I like the unusual format of this one and the image of this solo writer and the string of her musings that seem to flow through from beginning to end. Well done Myrna/

I think I've said this before, but I will say it again. You have that unique ability to tell stories in so many forms... it becomes obvious that you are not afraid of exploring new territories, with no fear of boundaries.
Myrna,
The leaving of youth and travelling to maturity and 'our summer' have their pains, fears and uncertainties. I love how you handle and deliver these notions, the imagery apt and beautifully natural.
