Who write all those gems
and an occasional bomb.

I applaud you from my soul
and your words of prose
The way you use words
to metamorphose

But I like to shoot rhymies
from the poetic cuff
And the feather-brained sillies
of the fluffy stuff

I write as profoundly
as a wading pool
My imagination is as big
as a molecule

I like superficiality
and mindless diatribe
Give you fluffy candy
you can safely imbibe

I'll itch at your tickle
and skiddle your skaddle gum
I'll leave you smiley happy
or reaching for the rum

Heavy hearted odeing
just isn't quite for me
I leave that to the masters
who post it for free

Brilliance shines a plenty
in this poetry bowl
But I like to lift up lips
and cut smiles in a soul

Bless all you poets
of serious minded bent
I'm off to a padded room
before I get sent

So when something happens
to strangulate your smiley
Just turn off your brain
for a muddleheaded whiley

When you're down and blue
click like lickety split
Dip into my jar of hollow
hairbrained empty wit
