Don't tell me there are no such things as UFOs. The mother ship parked right overhead: we under the sky read the message, knew it would be bad. It looked like "War of the Worlds" with the lightning veining the turbulence and the wind and the rain slashing down. Thankfully, no damage here, but it was one of the scariest storms I'd ever seen: got the picture to prove it!
Boy, you sure got the shot! I can just see you chasing with digital in hand, and you live in the right state for Wx Photog! It really is true I've seen other 'roll clouds' in thunderstorms and even feeder band storms that really look like UFOs. Now imagine one at night; perhaps some sightings are these? (Never have camera in hand when I see them)
I have seen one of these pass over me at sea. The sea turned from green to grey, the wind went from about 15mph to 50mph, and the waves went from two feet to about eight feet, in almost an instant.
I didn't feel unsafe on my little boat but, I did have to reduce sails, fast. (pull em in so there was less sail area exposed)... Not fun at all.
WOW, Indeed! And that might, indeed, be a very cleverly disguised Alien Ship. I wonder if even the Alien Eds are showing up now, or are they Ets, not Eds??!!
