Poem Artwork

Blow away or drown?  You get to
take your pick, lucky you!  Severe
storms in the forecast from later
tonight through the day tomorrow -

hail, high winds, tornadoes, heavy
rain - the whole shooting gallery
being aimed at North Texas.  All
we can do is hope and pray and

batten down the hatches and wish
we had adequate shelter ... hate
this time of year, I really do.
Would much rather have ice or snow.

Hang in there, Karla...this too shall pass, but I know the feeling...torrential rains last night, super strong winds all day and now...we're in for another miserable Cat-Meow night...you expressed the sentiments very well.

What a fabulous photograph. Nature in all her splendor, and fury. Karla writing another terrific poem . It doesn't get much better than this. Jon Michael Willey

Awesome picture. The clouds look ominous.. I know the feeling of wanting a place to hide when a fierce storm is coming. Hope all is well. Seems our weather is getting worse..Global warming and mans inability to do something about it add to our woes!.........M

Wondered if it would be getting windy your way. Here we went into a deep freeze for several weeks and suddenly we are having spring type weather.........I know this is not good for the south. Nice to be reading you again too :-)

Karla, I can totally relate to your words...we have had some terrible winds here of late & they give me the jitters. I could feel your resentments in every word...I do hope it won't be too bad.

Oh, but those ice storms... NASTY stuff!
Batten down those hatches and hold tight, Karla...

Ice and snow present their own demons with which one must do battle, as well. All of the above is better than earthquakes, though.

I'm laughing about Ed's entry below. I can add a little ice and snow to his, if you want Karla. Otherwise, hang in tight. The sun will return eventually!

Batten down those hatches, for sure. And if you really want some ice and snow, I'd be happy to send you a box car full - we seem to be running out of places to put it.
