surrounded by tundra,

flora and fauna

in an Aspen glen,

cool and clear,

where the moose drink,

speaking of storms

in thunderous tones

His bugling calls to you,

sound bounces off

the mountains

His image

reflected in the waters,

flowing turquoise blue

He watches the clouds,

move overhead

A bolt strikes

and flashes,

and the rain begins,

like an emerald, green neon

of night, it surrounds her

She awaits the rumble

and silently listens,

His rival, he dominates

with the antlers thunder,

clicking and crashing together
