Nature's Lullaby

Another weekend in the enchanting little cottage in the woods....inspiration seems to flow from the walls...

Raindrops dancing on the forest floor
Hypnotizing melody playing out
Like an enchanted lullaby!
Giant trees stand sentry
Their branches casting lengthy shadows
Upon the gently sloping roof.
Inside the little cottage, sleep eludes her
But it doesn’t really matter…
For she is at peace here.
Tumultuous thoughts, like an ebbing tide
Recede into the night.
And as a fresh breeze rises,
Lifting the voices of the crickets
To her windowsill,
She is lulled into a deep, restful sleep…

The sounds of spring. My favorite time of year. I live in the country so I know the sounds you are talking about. They are a sweet lullabye. May God bless you every day of your life.

Tranquil this place of fantasy and romance. It lulls me like a lullaby so beautifully placed.

Ever since I read your Christmas one I've wanted to be in such a place.
You bring it all to life in such a dynamically beautiful way.

This brought back so many good memories, I so miss my cabin up in the mountains past Wenthworth Valley...so quiet I could hear the bugs breath...

This is so well done. It evokes the peace and that unique love of nature you have. But even more astounding you are teaching this city boy to come to appreciate it through your eyes.
Thanks.

I have such a cottage booked in August.
Maybe- just maybe- I'll get a weekend in sooner.
This makes me need it.

I'm jealous of you and your little cabin. Ah, not really, I have my moments of clarity and poetical thoughts here in the hovel.
