This write came right from my soul...I can't wait to return to Campelot because I know there's a new voice that will speak to me....Rest In Peace Doug...

Poem Artwork

She welcomes the overwhelming sense of peace
As she gazes out over the hypnotic mirror
That has captured magnificent reflections of nature!
Dusk descends upon the lake at Campelot
And tranquility touches her deep inside,
In this place where her soul seeks solace!
Sparkling like brilliant sapphires in the fading light
The pristine water diffuses the atmosphere
With heavenly scents only nature could proffer.
The haunting cry of a loon echoes into the stillness
And she feels the spirits of Campelot surrounding her
Whispering secrets of the universe they know
She will understand.
Closing her eyes, she welcomes their voices!
And hears every single word…
From the gentle hiss of ripples tiptoeing onto the shore
To the shivering of leaves caught in the breeze
That holds her securely in nature’s arms
Their message is loud and clear.
She opens her eyes to mystical little lights
Sparkling brightly for only a moment
Before fading into the deepening ebony of night.
Watching them brings her great happiness
For they are Nature’s little fairies
Sent to bring tranquility and hope!
To some, they are merely fireflies
But to her they are spirits of those at peace
Returning now and then to share great wisdom
With only those who understand!

Without a doubt, one of the most beautiful poems you have written. The most beautiful poetry comes from the soul. May God bless you every day of your life.

Your descriptive words bring me back to a time when I used to sit by a favorite lake, simply reflecting on life and all it had to offer. All your poetry is exquisite, but this one so touched my heart.

The quiet sounds of nature: the rippling water; the rustling of leaves; the gentle scents that surround the senses when, in the quiet reflection of your words, Anna, at these times of merely being there we absorb the beauty that is about us.

Profoundly intimate and beautiful, Anna!
You put such an uplifting strength in your words, and I hope to learn how to feel this way.

"From the gentle hiss of ripples tiptoeing onto the shore
To the shivering of leaves caught in the breeze"

Phrases like these are good enough to steal and at least the attempt ought to be made. (smile) Great write.

The ability of a visitation from beyond and within the gentle waters of Campelot is very real to me. Go, listen, and put it in verse so we can be there with you, my friend.

Having just returned from my Lake Wanderings, I know this sense of peace very well, and you've already made me yearn for my next wondrous nature trek.
