Captivated

How at peace I am in the little bunky in the woods......winters there are pure magic!

An icy zephyr whistles across
The glistening windswept meadow
Whipping intricate patterns
Into the downy mantle of snow!
Snowflakes caught in moonbeams
Sink gently to the earth
Like falling stars
For a million wishes!
A hint of wood smoke
Rises through the trees
Vanishing effortlessly into
The lavishly bejewelled heavens!
Frosty masterpieces
Painted upon the windows
Of the little cottage
Nestled into the forest.
And in winter’s peaceful hush
Her sigh the only sound
As she gazes into the night
Captivated…

This is breathtaking!!! I've hated winter ever since I turned 40 (or there abouts) but this almost makes me want to move back to Michigan. (much emphasis on Almost) This one will definitely make it into my library…. Well done Anna, REALLY WELL DONE !

From the Treasure Coast, may I propose a toast, "To those who remain,,, "Captivated..." Cheers." Dick
