A gal in our choir posted this on Facebook. "I really really like you. You're warm and there to support me from falling. When I'm down you bring me back up. I feel lost without you. But, sometimes when I really want you I can't because you're not always good for me. I need to be strong and learn to say no to you....but it's so tempting, when I reach that point...oh I just need you! You're so damn irresistible and awesome.
Oh, vibrato....you're my true love. ;) ♥"
It inspired me to write this "sonnet."
She Loves Her Vibrato *
She loves her sonorous vibrato.
She's a soprano, not an alto.
Although she has always had it,
it only came out bit by bit
with coaxing from her voice instructor;
she awes the orchestra conductor.
Not only can she purr, she can roar.
She truly can make her voice soar.
She is constantly a first stringer
when they need a number one singer.
She can sing pretty much anything,
from opera to jazz and to swing.
Yes she has an exquisite vibrato,
Though at times she's bit of a brat-oh!
WELL, WHAT CAN I SAY? A FACT THAT WE ALL LIVE WITH IS; NOTHING...IS PERFECT. SO THERE(SMILE)! THANK, REGIS. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS

I am not great at counting beats or "da-dums" in sonnets, so I hope you have every line in iambic pentameter as you should in a sonnet. But since the flow is not perfect you might not.
It is a nice sonnet you've written but it doesn't come off as one of your best poems. Though I will say that it is a nice tribute to a singer and her voice. Definitely something different. It is great to be inspired by what someone else has written.

"Real" vibrato is absolutely captivating and enthralling and it is such a travesty when people "fake" it or use it falsely. From what I've heard of your sumptuous choir, you are a very gifted bunch all round and so polished and professional that this accolade could be laid at the feet of a number of members. But she's obviously special, this one, and - by your final line - has even further heights yet to ascend to as she develops and matures. I hope she is pleased with this trubute to her!!!!!! :)) xx
Your title, if read too quickly, can be slightly misinterpreted but becomes an irresistible draw as well. :) ... This tongue-in-cheek piece seems to perfectly fit the author of the Facebook entry. Another fine write, Regis. Thank you for sharing it with us. Love and hugs, Elizabeth
