There once was lady named Ming
Whose voice was a most wondrous thing
She sang like a lark
From dawn until dark
It’s a wonder she did not take wing
There once was a fellow named Karl
He was a gatherer of marl
When he came into town
He would grimace and frown
When addressed he’d respond with a snarl
There once was a fellow named Nat
Whose turn it was at the bat
He swung at the ball
It went over the wall
And fell on the mayor’s top hat
(And fell on his friend Pat’s doormat)
(And silenced a screaming spoiled brat)
There’s a lovely lady named Lee
Who was scared of me and did flee
But I used my charms
She’s back in my arms
Once more we are both filled with glee
There once was a southern pixie
She came from the land of Dixie
She could play fine jazz
Did so with pizzazz
She was known as the elf named Trixie
There once was a gal named Molly
Whom I wed in a moment of folly
She could sing and dance
Could pirouette and prance
But for me she was a bit too jolly
There once was a lady named Macbeth
She had an encounter with death
She found him quite grim
And grew to fear him
It was thus until her last breath
There once were some paparazzi
Who behaved as would a patsy
The bodyguards scared them
With a simple ahem
So all they hid behind a taxi
A pompous professor of yore
Was proud of the gown that he wore
He loudly orated
Scolded and berated
In fact he was simply a bore
There once was a fellow from Dover
Who thought the workday was over
He walked out the door
Quite some time before four
He’s now seeking work in Hanover
Yes Regis you did it again as usual! Molly was too Jolly? I have laughed my lungs out. Your Limmericks always makes my mind create images that somehow turn into a mini movie. Oh, this one was a bit long, make it a bit shorter, but enjoyed it all through. God bless!
Giggle.....these are so much FUN! Great job, Regis...Keep 'em comin'...

Your approval rating is steady, you're as popular as spaghetti, add cheese and some sauce, it's plain you're the boss, for limericks you're always ready. For a twist, I've rated them individually. A, A, A-, B+, B, A, A+, B, A+, A+
And the grand prize goes to -- The Pompous Professor of Yore!!!
I do love limericks, writing them and reading them.

There once was a man named Regis
who wrote limericks that were stupendous;
he made all his friends laugh and say,
Isn't he a witty man that Regis Auffray?
That was me in Dover,
I thought the work day was over,
So lost my job & had to move in with Rover,
So now all I do for work is to pick 4 leaf clover...e
"Oh Yeah!", Regis. Mr. Limerick. Like all of your limericks, these are indeed fun. I am partial to the last. For Dover, Delaware and Hanover, Pennsylvania are places I have visited on many, many occasions. Thanks for sharing them. I bid you love and peace my dear friend. Jon Michael
All of them a good chuckle, Regis;
love the first one,
and in the third the 'screaming spoiled brat' gets my vote...
and Trixie the pixie from Dixie is...intriguing.
The limericks of a man from BC, come easy and simple it seems, but I think its not so, I think he does know, that he works in daylight and dreams...

Oh well, I tried.

Yeah, Regis, so glad to see you backwith your funny stuff.
And with with your permission...
There once was this poet named Auffray
Whose limericks would brighten my day
On my face put a smile
That would stretch for a mile
And rattle my teeth all the way

He posted this thing at the Den-
I started to giggle
It made my hand wiggle-
I've made quite a mess with my pen.
Great job again.
