First of all, photo is so pretty. 2nd = I go on a picnic, take a swiss cheese sandwhich on rye, a bag of potato chips, and slice of pie, and sit on a rock and eat. Probably Devil's Den at Gettysburg, PA a favorite place for a picnic like this. so delightful to even think of going out in the fall with friends on picnics, since Winter ends them and more substantial food is needed.

Interesting how the haiku forms blend the whole into a walk into a season, Regis, nicely done. This is my favorite:

"Skeins of flying geese
Paint patterns on prairie ponds
Reflections of fall"

It is imaged in a way that is easily accessible without mind, it is felt in the heart. :)

A Perfectly written poem...I love the subject and the way you describe it.The only thing I would like different is the font,I felt it was too hard for Autumn,I imagine autumn being more a soft thin font...and slanted (like Autumn is....windy leanings)but that's just my own taste and a personal opinion I am probably wrong about that,hope you don't mind me mentioning it... the poem content was 10 out of 10.

Regis: "The sun winks awake" This is INCREDIBLE! A new way of looking at the sun coming up. I can just "see" the first peeks of rays coming over the horizon. So vivid. Wonderful poem.
