Autumn Leaves

Palettes of orange, yellow and gold
a mixture to tease the darkest of souls.
An arrangement of hues both bland and bright
blown through the air when the wind hits just right.

All shapes and sizes their structure may be
but one can distinguish their genesis tree.
Elms, maples and the mightiest oaks
shedding their cover, baring their coats.

It's sad just to see them tossed in the breeze
when I think of the way they pleasure and please.
If ever a season could put me at ease
I'll always remember those fine Autumn Leaves

I chose this as my first poem of yours to read Paul, as Autumn was my favoured month when I lived in England Also I do enjoy writing poems about the seasons, so I particularly like this one.

Reading your Bio Paul, we never fail when we take up challenges, the same ones are only given to us again so that we can improve on that which we have already accomplished.

Very nice, Paul. I like the Autumn leaves too, especially sometimes I will absent mindely walk through a pile of them in my bare feet. Well that is not much any more now, but I used to tho (giggle). Delightful and thanx for the childhood memories.

May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister, Barbie
