I am so grateful that I have finally gotten some clarity and focus for my life…for now.
I truly want to live and work my creative life full time, and I found a beautiful, peaceful, friendly place I would love to live…but to do these things means having a source of finances, which I don’t have right now. I will continue to do as much writing as I can even though it can’t be full time for now.
My brother has been carrying the full burden for our mother who is in assisted living with Alzheimer’s. He is the Trustee, Power of Attorney, dealing with her finances (and lack of, often using his own money which he does not have a lot of)…and going to see her a few times a week, shopping for things she wants, taking her out on occasion, etc. And he has a wife and 2 children. Note that they live in Michigan and I in Georgia.
Without a doubt, my clarity and focus right now is to drastically improve my finances that I may get my own debts paid off AND, most importantly help my brother with finances for mother’s care.
I have been looking for work and there is a good possibility that one will start soon. Thank God it is with a company near where I live and the environment is really good. The pay won’t be as great as I would like, but through this past year of lean finances I have learned to give up a lot and do without. Thank God I have been able to continue paying all my bills, feed myself and my dog…and help others however I can. I am very blessed.
I recently saw the movie “Freedom Writers” and was deeply moved. I have often wondered who and how I could help by encouragement and inspiration somehow through my writing. I have let my local acquaintances know that I would be available to their children’s schools if they would like a speaker. Have had no takers. This movie inspired me and yet I still don’t know exactly how I can live my life to encourage and inspire. My prayers continue……..
I want to encourage others, especially young people and seniors (never too old), to live their dreams, to find ways to do what they love ~ even if it doesn’t mean a financial income (at least not immediately ) Just don’t know how, but I know that somehow, in some way I will be shown. I joy in knowing that God surprises us with answers to our prayers that are better than we can even dream of…my spirit waits in excited anticipation for the next one.
