I went to my first writer's conference yesterday and was thrilled at the wealth of information I gleaned. I took two classes, one on marketing yourself and the other on how to write a devotional.

Writing a devotional was interesting because I think I discovered that I'm not cut out for writing devotionals. Either that or I freaked out at the fact that I was going to have to share what I wrote with everyone afterwards. It kind of felt like I was in a classroom. Everyone was so silent as they were writing that it was quite intimidating when I just sat there struggling to think of something to write about. I'm going to try again later, without the pressure!

I loved the first course and realized that I needed to be doing a lot more in the marketing department. Egads! Who knew writing could be so demanding!
