Why housework and writing just don't mix! It's time for me to confess - I HATE housework! Lately, I've been using writing as my excuse to not tackle the dust bunnies in my livingroom. Who can blame me? After all, if I'm in the middle of writing something, I'm certainly not going to stop the flow and run upstairs and vaccum!
Also, I've been using the excuse that my daughter works late at night and so I don't want to disturb her because she sleeps during the day. Well - that's not really an excuse because it's true, but when she gets up, I still don't vaccum!
Then there's the arthritis in my legs, feet, back and hips. I can't possibly be expected to carry that cumbersome vaccum cleaner up two flights of stairs now can I? I already fell down them once, why take another chance?
I do manage once in awhile to clean. I don't want everyone thinking I'm living in a dump. My dishes get cleaned, the toilets and tubs and sinks also get cleaned. However, it's when I can find the time and mostly the inclination to do it, that has become the problem.
I'm sure that there is absolutely NO ONE out there like me. You all LOVE housework - don't you? Admit it, you clean freaks out there - you are just dying to come over and clean my house right now aren't you? Maybe get me a little organized so that I will enjoy cleaning up after my family? (Who for some reason can't clean up after themselves!)
Well, I'm sorry to disappoint, but I'm afraid this has now become a habit and unless someone from FlyLady.com volunteers to come and clean my home, the dust bunnies will once again be waiting for another day!
