Well, now I think I've really lost it! I was cleaning out some files on my computer today and came across the beginnings of a rather intriguing story. When I clicked on the properties, I discovered that it had been created in November of 2004. The story was so good, I had to find out who wrote it because I don't remember writing it at all. So I phoned some friends and asked if the story sounded familiar. It didn't. My husband said, "Check the author of the document, then you'll know who wrote it." So I did that, and guess who the author was?
I still can't remember writing it! I feel like I've just discovered the pot at the end of the rainbow. This story is intriguing and I can't figure out why I stopped writing or developing it. The only thing that comes to mind is that I was in the middle of writing Come to Me, so I must have come up with an idea and wrote it down before I forgot about it - and then - promptly forgot about it!
Someone please tell me that this happens to all writers, or I'm going to have to book an appointment with my doctor in the morning and get tested for Alzheimers!
