Draw Closer to God and He will Draw closer to you. But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31)
Have you ever noticed that when we are at our lowest point, God raises us up again to find our strength in Him? I find that when I don't wait on the Lord and I rush headlong into something that I think is a good idea, I will inevitably fall flat on my face, exhausted and worn out by plans that I made that did not go according to the plans God had for me. Listen to all the promises in this verse:
1. Our strength will be renewed
2. We shall mount up with wings as/like eagles (draw closer to God)
3. We will run and not be weary
4. We will walk and not faint
How is our strength renewed? By waiting on the Lord and when we wait on the Lord all these other blessings will come to us. If you are searching today for answers and you are not sure of what to do, wait on the Lord until you hear from Him, because when you don't stop to listen, you are depriving Him of blessing you.
