My Life is Almost Over! 3/13/2008 9:19:43 AM
Why birthdays are not all they are cracked up to be! Today, I'm half a century old! The big five-O! I should be terrified right now, because basically, my life is almost over. What is the average life-span for women these days? Seventy-five? Eighty? So, if I'm lucky I've got another 30 years left.
It strikes me that the first 50 years of my life, seemed to fly by rather quickly. Didn't I just graduate highschool? When did my youngest child get so big? For that matter, how did he age so quickly?
The first half of my life I spent trying to find myself. Unfortunately, because Alzheimer's runs in my family, I'll probably spend the last part of my life doing the same thing! What I don't want to forget however, is how important today is.
Make the most of it my friends, because today is the only one you've got. You don't know if you'll have anymore after this one.
