Nearly three years ago, on September 11th, 2005, two weeks after hurricane Katrina, I was faced with a decision of whether to resist the harrassment to evacute by the National Guard, the New Orleans, and State police or volunteer to evacuate New Orleans. I decided to go ahead and evacuate. Within four hours, me and thirty-four other people were flown to Chicago where we were transferred to a town called Elgin, Illinois. The people of Elgin were the sweetest, most considerate people I've ever met. I never had the chance to thank them for their Christ-like compassion. If there's anyone who is reading this from Elgin, Ill. THANK YOU!!!
