It really touch my heart to see the people of Mayrammar suffering from the intense cyclone (hurricane) that devastated their coastal cities. We can certain commiserate with them from our own recent destruction from flooding, tornadoes, and hurricane Katrina. With twenty-thousand people losing their lives in the massive storm surge, you have to wonder why their government didn't do enough to warn it's citizens. The homes the citizens resided in didn't appear to be structurally sound and able to withstand hurricane force winds or a massive storm surge. With unsound structures and inadequate drainge and pumping capacities, evacuation was clearly a must. Here in New Orleans, hurricane force winds ravaged many homes, but they were structurally sound and able to protect their inhabitats. The structures that were razed were in the direct path of the twety-five foot storm surge and burstig levees, which caught may people by surprise and killed over two thousand people. The curious thing for me is: it took our government three days to respond to our disaster in our own country, but the sun hadn't risen over the disaster on foreign soil before our government was flying aide to help the suffering people in Mayrammar.
