The Winter Ball Photos 12/22/2003 8:02:09 AM
news on the noturna winter ball photos (the GothicPreacher cam)
My photos from this event are going to be up sometime in the new year because I am without a diskdrive where I can upload them but the one that I am going to share was taken by one of the people who were there--this a little story behind this photo, it would be a rare thing that they would catch a photo of me and the owner of gothicchicago.com (DavidB was the one responsible for making sure my site did not disappear into obscurity in 1999. If anyone in the Chicago area has a 2002-2003 calendar from GothicChicago.com, I was featured with not one, but three urls -- the diaryland and diary-x journals were the two that were featured along side with Writings From The Grave. This photo taken here was done of both of us, the two extremes of the gothic spectrum. It is a rare thing to see me wearing a tie but this was an occasion where a good friend of ours just got married, Congrats to Scary Lady Sarah and Justin on just getting married. One half of this photo is used on my profile here -- I am going to be posting some of the Winter Ball photos on AuthorsDen -- not sure where. But they are going to also be on modblog.) So with that being said, I would like to share this photo -- don't steal this one because it is copywritten by both me and the staff of GothicChicago.com. I am goin to be posting them up on this blog when I get them up -- and that would be sometime after January 5, 2004, because I need a new hard drive on my computer. I am going to be taking a little break from my writing so I can spend some time locating some publishers to take that nonfictional peice I inked.
Some would know my abilities as a writer if they are on authorsden, but some would not really know much of my abilities as a photographer -- so I did this one photo of Sarah and Justin since they did not exactly have a wedding photo. This would be considered their wedding photo. I will have more photos of the events backed up on a kodak photo disk -- that was a daunting task because I was on the road at the time when I went and got the photos backed up. Now when the new drive comes in and I can then work on the computer when it arrives -- when I went to upload this photo at the time my computer was acting like 8-bit Nintendo at best.
