new one; Tourniquet and Saviour Machine inspired... 2/20/2004 3:59:40 PM
writing a rather inspired work...
This is the one I am writing for the diary-x journal, it is based on three songs from various heavy metal bands that I have been listening to. Some could really see where Saviour Machine inspired me as a writer, this one I am writing was inspired by the lyrics penned by Luke Easter, titled "Ghost at the Wheel." This is going to be a sequel to the bizarre "Tundra Sands." I can say this much I got inspired from a painting as well called "Sleeping Courier." The artist is a surrealist and in a way with my writing goes -- I am very much of a surrealist with it. The factor is that not many would get what I do, nor that I would expect them to. The ones who get it though would know how dark it can get. This piece I am working on is one that is the most inspired that I was in a long time. I wrote inspired work before but it was nothing this inspired -- it would show my roots in faith within a darker sense of the word. Some might not pick up on the Christian referrences but there are some who didn't like it for that reason. I also got some inspiration from Odd Nerdrum as well with this one that I am writing as well being that there got some inspiration with this. Being that I had always been an artist as well on different mediums -- namely photography. I wouldn't doing a photograph rendition of that painting I have posted above.
