the inspired piece is written and live....
This is the one that took me the longest to write because I wanted to get it right. I can say this much -- the tracks by Tourniquet and Saviour Machine along with Grigori 3 played a huge part in writing this so I have to thank Eric Clayton, Luke Easter, and Gwen Bartolini for being the inspirations for this one. I quoted part of Shadows for this one. The title of the short story shares the title of the powerful track off When Moth and Rust Destroy. I had this notion my chance meeting of one of the guitarists and the bassist from Tourniquet in 1996 had played into writing this one in some form or another -- being that Tourniquet is a band that uses a lot of descriptive horror imagery in their lyrics. So I appreciate a band like this -- and Luke Easter wrote the lyrics to the song of the same name. This is a sequel to Tundra Sands.

This is a real departure from what I usually write but it still will have that darkness that I have been known for. It is not horror per say but something that one would appreciate just the same. It is one of the most obscure ones that I wrote and one that took me a few days to pull off even though it was -- but one who had not been familar with my website's history it started out as a Gothic Christian website, so this is one of those which would show the strong Christian undertones. Though shows that even Christians can write some very dark material -- look at Saviour Machine. Gwen saw the early stages of this one when it was being written along with Sock -- since he gave me a strong review on "Sober." This is one of those pieces that has a really dark undertone to it -- and hopefully that Roger Martinez from Vengence Rising would find his way to this one. This is not the first time I wrote stories that shared titles with songs of the same name, but this is the first time I wrote something which shows some of my roots.
