Remember the soldiers who sleep far away
In countries quite far from the U. S. of A.
Bodies lay cold
From actions bold
Their convictions let America’s flag sway
They laid down in sickness; fell down in red pools
Sometimes even bare hands became useful tools
Pay attention
At their mention
Reminisce their service . . . they are our ‘jewels’
Freedom is a gift that they bestowed on us
Honor veterans who have earned all our trust
Let the flag wave
For all they gave
Be grateful to the living for their service
Overcoming difficulties together
Democracy is everyone’s endeavor
The U.S.A.

As one nation, under God, joined forever
