Wherever life ends, a part of their life will linger.
Morning shattered
shimmied
clattered to the ground . . .
wee pieces were found;
turned life upside down.
Oozing in the rain,
droplets eased . . . full of pain
never to complain.
Darkness crept in
to spin
lies with luscious lips,
chewin' finger tips . . .
life bows, decrepit.
Easy ebony
impossible to view the gory
seeping in nights' glory.
Hues in between
linger mean
streaking the dark sky,
stars hang . . . their deaths nigh
nobody to cry
the moon rises . . . to sigh
tear down the bleak sheets
morning agains shines, streaks.
Soldiers of men
salute night, grim
aware of living . . . at day's end
morning will beam for them;
not on the still men
darkest night I pray thee leave
give us time to love again
live today--while your heart beats.
Paste morning anew
you mattered e'en
if scattered on the ground
your spirit is morning
