More limerick nonsense from me...

Poem Artwork

Limericks VI

I once met a very fine lass
At her I did make a pass
She surprised me by saying
What shall we be playing
I replied we’d be fishing for bass
(I replied we’d be going to mass)
(I replied we’d be mowing the grass)

I once had a date with Kate
Fate made it so she was late
So I had a drink
Then I saw my shrink
She helped me to not hate the wait

I once met a lady from Nome
She wanted to travel to Rome
We took the first flight
We got there that night
No more Nome now Rome is our home

I once met a lady named Maddie
She owned a brand new red Caddy
She drove way too fast
More than once in the past
She wound up in a wild rice paddy

I know an exotic young miss
She certainly knows how to kiss
She’s smart and she’s playful
She’s pretty and graceful
Spending time with her is pure bliss

There once was a mortician
Who became a musician
His music was bad
It was much too sad
Now he’s a politician

There once was a poor woodcutter
Who found a bowl full of butter
He ran back to his hut
Fed it all to his mutt
Then watched the butterflies flutter

I like this new chain, Regis. They're upbeat and full of pep - which isn't easy when speaking perhaps of morticians and politicians!! :)) And I'm sorry about your Kate... there must be a time-warp attached to the name; I can sooooooo identify with lateness - NEVER intentional but somehow inevitable! With each successive page I think you can't possibly outdo yourself... then each time, you do! Keep going!! KuckooKlock Kate xx
