A Moment

Ants parade in slow motion
Lizard flick-tongues a beetle
New blades of grass wilt
Horsefly turns off engine
Thirsty flowers pray
Heat wilts spring leaves
Bumblebee is stilled
Mindful human nods
Life in July
For sixty seconds

Bill, I'm a summer person...thrive in sunny, warm weather. This poem made me miss it even more! Am thankful I am going back home for 10 days next month. By the time I get back, spring will have sprung in Milan!

I don't have to wait until July ...LOL We had temps in the 80's about two weeks ago.. Mother Nature is sooo confused..LOL

Thinking ahead to summer days - warming! Personally, I like it a bit cooler - like Spring and Fall, and yes, even winter.
