working through a block Finally started again, but ran into a bit of a block. The start of the SciFi needs some help, as does all of it, but I think some time, some real stiff coffee, and some clear motivation to transform the novella into a thought provoking scifi that transcends into the modern day transition will be satisfying.
So I turn to the next hist fic story - as always, the beginning is the toughie - I need to develop a real hook in the opening - it's emotional to me, but the time away from the keyboard has rusted up the fluency. Maybe a little Michener will get the juices going.
And the other hist fic - ah, yes, that need alot more work as well. I think I've got the hook, but moving into the story line and avoid the plodding it seems to be doing now is the kicker.
Perhaps an affair weekend with the keyboard - busting through the block with coffe and burgers will be the only solution.
