Blogs by Guntis G Goncarovs The Cold of New England 1/17/2004 6:50:56 AMExperiencing the Arctic On a trip to New England this past week, I experienced the bitter cold of the latest arctic blast to run through New Hampshire. I don't ever remember being so cold, yet even with the extremes in weather, there was beauty in it all - a quest in the morning revealed a weak sun failing to warm, relegated to simply fighting to send light through thickening arctic smoke snaking up from the sea. Through the steam appeared ice locked fishing boats, resting from the days work, silent from fear of losing to the bitter elements.
