So here I am, figuring that I have a great opportunity to catch up on my writing with everyone - literally everyone in the neighborhood gone (well, the cul-de-sac). So, feed the dog, feed the neighbor's dog, take the neighbor's dog out, feed the fish, feed the cats, and to top it all off, the turtle is head banging looking for some shrimp.
Now that all of that is done, I sit down to write and spill coffee all over the keyboard.
So to Wal-Mart for another, and it doesn't fit. Back to Wal-Mart to exchange, but then caught in traffic because some moron let his dog out into the street - blind and deaf, just wandering from one side to another.
Hurry, hurry since the storms are coming, and when I get the keyboard out - sheesh, someone has stolen the USB adapter.
So I wonder, is sipping coffee just going to keep me up, or really blast away this caffiene headache.
But the night sky is lit up with streaks of energy, and I am drained, with an animal farm that is afraid of lightning.
So as I qwert my forehead, it is the headache, the writer's block, or just sinuses.
Guess it doesn't matter now. The lights are flickering, the windows rumbling, the rain is pouring off the roof -
And darkness.
Oh, hell. I'll just go to sleep. Couldn't have a worse nightmare!
