Nature always has to have the last word. Animal and nature writer, Diana L. Guerrero comments.
Just a soon as I wrote my last blog, stating that spring looked like it was here...wouldn't you know--it snowed!
The spring snowfall is wet and heavy. When cars drive by great torrents of slush whip through the air. Needless to say, I didn't do my long morning walk, instead I hit the local coffee house.
The locals often gather to chat and tell stories. The dialog can be about current events, what is planned for the day, and whopper stories.
A couple of people are great story tellers and don't let the truth get in the way of a good story! The sound effects often add to the entertainment. The coffee house owner seems to have anticipated "how deep it can get" as she chose very high chairs and tables!

During my morning walk I always visit with six to eight of my dog friends. They managed to share poision oak with me this week. Somehow I can't learn resist not smooching them or rubbing my face against their heads.
My late canine companion often gave me poision oak, and this latest reminder to be careful with mountain hiking dogs wasn't as harsh as it could have been--but my eyes, cheeks, and mouth were blistered and swollen. It could have been worse but the recent snowfall and rain probably lessened the oils picked up by the canines.

This week I started my new book and will be writing, writing, writing...however I did take time to attend an artist's reception and hear some live jazz. I have to fill that creative well when I am working so hard.
