Chicken Soup author visits animal book author at event in Big Bear Lake, California. What a beautiful weekend we had! After two weeks of weather and about three feet of snow, this weekend was warm and sunny.
As I was finishing my author's event at Edelweiss Books--who wandered in? The famous author and I met last year at Book Expo America and we chatted about crossing paths again in Chicago this June. Tall, blond, and very successful--he is one of the Chicken Soup for the...wizards. Guess yet?
It was Mark Victor Hansen. Mark was enthusiastic about my book and happy to see that some of his pals gave me endorsements. He visited for a while and then went off again to enjoy the mountains. (He enjoys the skiing here.)
We asked him to come back up to do an event as a fundraiser for the local library and the Alliance of Writers. Hopefully his schedule will allow it. Anyway, it was great to see him again and I am happy he stopped by.
Many other local fans stopped by and it was a nice way to spend the day enjoying the crowds and the harbringer of Spring!
