But I thought I would share comments on the fan mail I get.
My publisher has held a letter sent in early December until this week. The elderly gentleman shared a story with me and how "What Animals Can Teach Us about Spirituality: Inspiring Lessons of Wild & Tame Creatures" touched his life and motivated him to continue.
In the past, I have received letters telling me how the words contained in "What Animals Can Teach Us about Spirituality" have helped people heal from their loss of a beloved pet. One especially tragic loss was that of a pet owner who was off fighting fires in Montana when the flames raced through her property killing all her animals.
The job of an author is one that is lots of work and often we don't get much tangible reward. Authors don't often hear all the good commentaries or don't always have time to respond to the notes that they do get.
My purpose in writing is to thank all of you who take the time to write, to tell author's directly that you enjoy their works and it is you, the reader, that make it worthwhile.
This month "What Animals Can Teach Us about Spirituality" was released in its first foreign translation, German. I hope the reception that it is getting in Canada, the UK, India, and the United States continues to take it around the globe and impact others in a positive way.
