Latest litany of limerick nonsense...

Limericks IX

A fellow we know as Auffray
Got into a hot verbal fray
With a bureaucrat foolish
And indeed quite boorish
It's a wonder that he did not bray

I've met a lady named Nelly
She makes a most fine jelly
It's a magic potion
An exotic lotion
Inside or all over your belly

There's a fine lady named Fawn
She always gets up at dawn
The problem with that
She wakes up her cat
Who scares all the birds off the lawn

I know a young lady named Katie
Her eyes always sparkle with gaiety
She's hard to describe
She won't take a bribe
I'm glad she does not live in Haiti

I knew a bloke named McRane
He loved to sit in the rain
He stayed out there too long
Composing a song
Now he's got rust on the brain

I met a lady from Boulder
She just gave me the cold shoulder
When I asked her why
She said she was shy
And winter in Boulder made her colder

There was a fellow from Bath
He was truly a genius at math
He added in his head
Multiplied in his bed
He even divided in his bath

I like the lady from Boulder, and the ending of that, she needs to get warmer for herself and someone. This verse stood out to me.

You need to tongue-twist-and-tie with Bureaucratic Boors more often, but then, we all know who the donkey would be! :)) Can particularly relate to the Bath stanza, hailing from that World Heritage City in England as I do... think I know this guy, multiplying in bed and his long-division inevitably means that I get the taps! :)) xx

now does it all the time
and from his gift he does not hedge.
