Newsletter, fires & randomness

I just posted issue #6 of my "Dark Windows" newsletter. At this point I have given away over 12,000 words of work for free by using the newsletter, and I intend to keep going.

We were surrounded by fires for a few days, and even evacuated for one day due to thick smoke. Seems like the more I try to get done, the more things disrupt me completely.

For Halloween fun, I posted a study of the big creepy spider that lived all summer outside my office window:

As if to illustrate my point about randomness, two days after I did my little photo essay about the critter, it disappeared, probably starved to death (due to lack of bees) (due to the smoke) ... and all things are connected again.
