I sure have been busy! As much as I would like to be working on novels, stories, publishing and the like all the time, I have to devote some of my time with housekeeping, aka drudgery, and taking care of other things. Nonetheless, I have self-published three books thus far. The titles are: Marble Halls, Marble Halls Book II (the sequel to Marble Halls), and Glory Hallelujah is the latest. A little background information about these books: Marble Halls was first written in 1995. I was a "nanny" to two boys at the time. I spent some of my free time developing this book. It is a Victorian Romance full of colorful characters and exotic locales like India and England. I was inspired to write this book by two things: a novel called The Far Pavillions by MM Kaye and the movie Elephant Walk with Elizabeth Taylor. Marble Halls Book II is the first time I actually sat at the computer and wrote it as I went along. Other books were written on plain notebook paper and transcribed. I tried to do that with Book II and simply found I couldn't do it! Nothing would come to me in a sensible way. It was frustrating. I do like writing it as I go and will no doubt do that with future projects. As for Glory Hallelujah, I had written that a long time ago as well. The exact year escapes me, but it might've been about 2001. I love westerns so much, I want to keep writing them. My next project, quite hopefully, will be two fairytales that I hope can be illustrated. I wrote these fairytales several years ago as well. The reason why all these books, written so long ago, are now being published is because it takes a lot of time to find a place to do the publishing. I was only partially successful with Publish America. They produced my first two, Accidental Outlaw, and Just A Little Love. However, they turned me down for two of my latest books and so I resorted to self-publishing. Know what? I like it better. I have more control AND the royalties are MUCH better.
