This is my fervent hope: I truly, truly hope the war in Iraq quiets down. I truly hope our soldiers can come home. I feel that Iraq is a lost cause. It is like Vietnam. Why should our people be over there, dying needlessly? And let's all admit that it is a hopeless cause. Don't bury your heads in the sand. It was a mistake to be involved over there. And now 3000 and some lives later, we are still taking a beating.
I hope the homeless can find places to call their own.
I hope any woman who wants an abortion will think before acting.
I hope any woman who doesn't want her child will surrender it to a safe haven. There are NO EXCUSES of not doing this.
I hope there will be significant ways to deal with global warming. I hope more and more citizens of earth will be ecologically minded and start recycling and cut out the waste.
I hope more people will adopt adorable cats and dogs into their homes. I hope someone can stop the needless slaughter of our beautiful horses.
I hope those who have lost family members or friends can find some peace and not grieve so. After all, those lost to us are in a better place now.
