Sad September Continues 9/24/2004 1:08:10 PM
There is the remembrance of 9/11 and the anniversary of when my family lost my nephew. Now there is the death of a dear friend, Jimmie Mullen and yesterday I learned that a former pre-school student of mine from the YWCA tragically
died after a skateboard accident. Joshua Gladura was 21. I knew him when he was just a little kid...about 8 or 9 years old. And then, my friend, Martha, who is a pre-school teacher still found out that a mother of one of her little students was brutally murdered right at her home. It is astounding sometimes the tragedy that is right upon our doorsteps. I know it shouldn't, but these sad dates mar September. But I shall try to look forward to other things. That might be a little hard. Memories, for me anyway, are very hard to tuck away. I have a tendency to dwell upon them quite frequently. In a few days October arrives...God only knows what lies in store.
