In loving memory of Jimmie Lee Mullen My good friend Dorothy Mullen, whom I worked with at both the YWCA and the YMCA, lost her beloved Jimmie on September 2nd. Dorothy herself is in bad health and needless to say is devastated by the loss. They were an ideal couple. If ever there was a good example of a marriage, Jimmie and Dorothy had it. Of course they had the bad meshed in with the good. What couple doesn't have that? But they made it for 46 years. That is a record in our society today. My grandparents enjoyed some 60 years together. What is the secret? Love each other. Be faithful to one another. I had hoped to be married with kids long before now. Each day that passes is one less day I have to be a wife and a mother. It saddens me about this. I would love to have had the kind of marriage that Dor and Jimmie had. And especially one like my wonderful grandparents. God bless and keep them all.
