Some Good News... 3/2/2009 6:50:25 PM
Lately I've been whining about being so sick, and worrying about how to work the computer, and just fussing about jiggly things; so I want to switch things around a tad! Time to say thanks to so many of you who sent me notes, emails,cards, and especially the prayers that were sent my way! The pneumonia is almost gone, the throat is a tad scratchy, but the cough barely there, and my asthma is getting better, altho I am using an inhaler now. Still on antibiotics and prednisone, but just a few days left on those meds! Whew!
The new book is published, and soon going out to the wonderful people whose work was included in THE VISITORS, and I'm excited to say that the orders are already beginning to trickle in...and that is so exhilerating!! Joe and I took a drive to the Saguaro Lake Marina on Sunday, as we've been sick and cooped in the house too long. The day was beautiful...80's and sunny, and we had lunch at a nice Chinese restaurant, then came home and dropped for the evening! Seems we are better, yet not completely ready to tap dance!
Went to Bible Class today, and it was great! So many questions, and "DOUBT" was the major topic. Seems some are questioning God and Faith due to all the turmoil in the world...sometimes God does work in strange ways, because I believe HE knew this was the discussion that was more important than simply reading scriptures! Glad I made it.
Still debating on LULU or my reg publisher for "Who Shot the Sheriff?".... money certainly plays a big part in the decision; hwr...it's ready and waiting for me to say GO! Also have begun two new stories... one will be a spin off from "Sheriff" and the other is another murder mystery.. No..I haven't forgotten about the 3rd book on Divine Intervention and miracles/angels....I'm building another manuscript, and hope to have it ready and published later in the year! Another project that I am putting together is a handbook for new authors....as I may not be great at the computer (except the typing!) but I do know about promoting, marketing, booksignings, TV & Radio Stations, Magazine and Newspapers, Vertical marketing, etc... therefore, decided to write a "tips" book that will be inexpensive, yet very handy and assist in How-To's and selling your books! Look for that soon...and I will go with Lulu on that one!
The thing with me is that I seem to be in a rush to do everything, altho I can't understand why! Seems there is so little time left, with so much to do...and I seem to remain energized when even I can't understand how it happens! Busy is the best way I can describe how I go about life...yet, I do take time to enjoy the ones I love, and the things I love.. I plan to begin painting again in the next couple weeks... My oil and charcoal painting have suffered since I've been on this book/story writing jag.. My plans to sew new curtains for the bedroom, and for shopping and redoing some of the Arizona room have had to remain on "hold"...and we are having a Community Craft & Outdoor Sale on the 21st of March...so...I have some Peruvian Rain Sticks to make, and some Luminary Jars for the patio...(Mason Jars that look so beautiful)...so my crafting and creative moods are changing a tad...and of course, we all need some variety!
Joe has begun a small garden, and his tomatoes are already growing well, and the herbs too! We plan to drive to Sedona on Wednesday if we are feeling better...and I'll be taking photographs every step of the way!!
Okay...I'm driving you nuts...so will stop jabbering, but it's been awhile, and you know me...like to put all the news in one bucket! Hope those who are sick, get better soon; and those who are struggling in other ways...well, I'm praying for us all. Hope Bonnie gets better... Miss LaBelle also..it's been ages since we've heard from her??? Hope George Carroll is doing better, and once again, thank you all for your love and support!! Hugs, Lindalaw
