Trees Turning Too Soon 8/25/2008 7:08:52 AM
A Look Outside... It hasn't rained here in two weeks. Florida must have gotten it all this time. Yesterday, I noticed the Tulip Poplar across the street has turned yellow. It has the color of a caution light. Nature is slowing down, almost to a complete stop.
This morning the sky had cloud cover. It looked about like my meringue, thin and lumpy. We may get some rain this afternoon in time to perk up the massive trees and the Clematis along our fence.
Last year's drought was like Biblical plague and pestilence. This year was green and lush. The trees now look jaundiced and ailing. A good rain would give them the transfusion they dearly need. Same here. Comments (1)More Blogs by Marge B.
