Glad to see some rain and my books. Maybe the drought has been given a punch. This was no sucker punch, just a steady light rain. It would take massive storms to erase the severe drought in eastern Kenucky. I may have to ask my husband to shake the rain stick.
My sister and her family brought it back from Guatemala. Her husband is a caring pediatrician and every year or so he goes on a mission of charity to a foreign country. On that trip, they scored some handmade wallets, knick-knacks, and the rain stick for us. It is made from some mystery wood. All I know is that it works.
My husband knows just when to shake it. I think it is time once again. The squirt of rain we got overnight wasn't enough to rid us of this drought. Forest fires are a part of living just beside the Daniel Boone National Forest. We have had them just over the next hill as well.
The first copies of my book were sold to individuals this morning. This must be my rain. I have hopes of a massive shower of good wishes, reviews, and hard cold cash. I have fires of my own that need extinguishing. Makes me wish we had an Author Stick. If we did, I would be shaking it right now.
Life has opened up. A flash flood of attention may be headed my way. I call that a floody-floody! If you don't find me blogging or writing here, I am off stumping for ALL ROADS LEAD TO HAZARD. THe copies that I ordered, all 100, arrived by Fed Ex yesterday. I opened my world to the world in this book. May our worlds intertwine. May you be blessed.
