We went deep sea fishing on October 25! The boat that welcomed us aboard at Pensacola Beach was the Lively One II. The members of my extended family numbered ten. We were allowed only two Red Snapper each. Our guide said we threw back 100 fish! My freezer here in the Kentucky foothills is full of succulent fish. We caught Mingos, Triggerfish, Mackerel, and Amberjack. We caught the spirit of fishing as well and by noon we were old salts. My head is full of memories of this trip, a gift for my father's 80th birthday. Dolphins swam in pairs beside our boat. The deep blue sea is full of power and brilliance. I will hold it in my hard drive through this Appalachian fall and winter.
