I got up this morning took a look at my desk, which actually to me at the moment doesn't look half bad. Then I thought about a Feng Shui (sp) (I'm not looking it up) workshop that we had a couple of monhts ago at Windy City. My desk is in my career and money corner and should always remain uncluttered.
Now I ask you how on earth is that possible? I recently saw a picture in my local newspaper of a poet and her office. IT WAS CLEAN! My first thougth. No way!!
Yesterday I was making peel off labels using one of my book covers and several sheets adorn my desk in various positions. One is across the printer, one's actually in the printer bed and two others are sitting across the top of the computer tower almost falling off. Then I have my computer print out from Orbitz from recent from my trip to Atlanta, the airfare that should be put away for taxes. That I have no idea why it's here. I have a bright pink sheet of paper reminding me that I'm going to write a few words..due by Sept 1 for this project. I have a post card with Indian signs that I'm suppossed to copy to use for later. I can't even read it now, the letters are way too small. I have a couple of books, Adam 's ring that I just decided to stick on my finger, my cell phone that's charging, two cameras, one reminding me that I haven't put the film in the shop from Atlanta because it's sitting here in the camera. I have a bag of candy that is old and will never be touched. I have matches and a make-up bag. then lets say the list is finished with all sorts of paper.. Oh I have a vampire ghost (stuffed) sitting on one of the speakers. And I have sticky ntoes all over the computer reminding me of things I have to do up to Sept. 21.
Now what does any of that have to do with procrastination you might ask? Well I was planning to write about PROCRASTINATION, ACTUALLY WROTE THE TITLE IF YOU LOOKED AT IT. Then what I wrote came into my mind instead. Why? I looked at my desk again. And I procrastanated. LOL Maybe I'll do it later.
