Hello,
I think I may have mentioned awhile ago that I was swamped with editing and doing galleys. That part is over but believe me it got really intense becasue for the past year it seems I'm always working on two things at one time. That actually isn't a complaint even if it sounds like one. That's just a fact and it's somethng that I wanted and didn't put enough thought into. You would think though that I would have known that writing as three different people still meant that only I was going to do the actual writing. How could things not have gotten out of hand. You're right, even though I'm a virgo better planning was required to carry this off in a stress free manner. HAHAHA
Okay, I've got some good news. Remember me telling you that when I went to the RWA National convention in Atlanta at the end of July? I went to one of their workshops given by Amazon dealing with writing shorts or short stories to tie in with your up coming book. I wrote three and sent them in and I received notification that two of them were accepted. YEAH!!
Why wasn't all three accepted you ask. He said he liked it but it wasn't a stand alone story. And here you thought that published writers never got rejected. WRONG!
Now you know I spent all day yesterday working on the story, because, and yes I'll admit it, I knew I could do better, but I didn't know it had to be a stand alone just a tie in. Now I know. So I'm going to tell you that I will redo the third story and send it back in and I'll let you know what happens.
More good news on the massive edits I just finished. My editor emailed me to tell me there were a few pages where she wanted me to change soemthing minor and was only sending me the pages needed. This has never happened where I just received a few pages to make corrections. From the note I received the changes should take only a couple of hours so I'm really excited. Doubly excited because it's my very first paranormal and my favorite A Vampire novel. And I got to have it edited by the most gifted psychic editor in the entire world.
So all is well in my world. Let's hope. I woke from a dream this morning where I was going on a road trip with a bunch of my relatives. I even went out to the car and I was going to do the driving and everyone can tell you how much I hate driving. I was even worrying in the dream about getting tired and thinking if I did maybe Bill would drive. Bill is the one who does all of the driving anyway. I thik I drive twice a month to my Windy City meeting. Anyway, Bill was sitting in the house not really wanting to leave and now I know why. All of the relatives were dead.
Any of you out there that's good on dream interpertation PLEASE let me know what you make of this.
