Don't think you can usurp the peace from those of us who believe in it and want it just as much as you do ,if not more! We may differ on how to get it, but that doesn't make us the war-mongers you are making us out to be!
You said you don't understand that the road to peace is littered with dead bodies. You evidently don't read history, or maybe the books you read are the ones the NEA approved with socialist lies that don't tell the truth of how this country was founded! You had to get away from my poem so it didn't darken your day. How about this! All death saddens me, especially that of children.
Do you limit your hatred of war only to battlefields, what of going to war against abortion that kills millions of babies each year in the name of sex and lust! Or killing people with a car in the name of liking to drink and have fun! I'm surprised that this kind of death doesn't bother you at all, only the death of soldiers?
Perhaps what you want is peace with liberality to live any way you choose with no regard for values or anything that has to do with true peace. What is the criteria you use for going to war? Would you defend the right to live in freedom?
Or do you think living under Saddam Husseins tyranny is freedom? Where they are still finding thousands of graves with masses of people many children that he let die or killed while he lined the walls of his palaces with gold and the money that he didn't spend for his people. Or the Billions that he sent to the UN, France, Germany, Russia ,and China so they wouldn't help America ! This is all verified and on record now!
That the peace-loving liberal media don't want to write about for fear it shows just how terrible it all is. They'd rather keep everyone focused on hating America so they can promote their socialist agenda, which seems to be what you and the so called "Poets For Peace" want too!
Well I too am a poet for peace, who happens to differ with you on how we get there, but I haven't gone to your page and made you feel like a war loving -outsider, which is what you did , so I ask which of us truly seeks peace?
I hate war and want peace, but if you aren't willing to die for peace then you shouldn't be so quick to demand it, for you have no idea what it truly means! I've lost loved ones who died in wars, so we are still free to write about it! So don't you dare question my right to vote, or say I don't want peace. I just happen to believe it is more than just a facade!
You weren't there when America helped liberate France! Lots of dead bodies there from Hitlers regime. You couldn't have seen the streets littered with dead bodies that the Germans killed, but our soldiers saw them as they walked the streets bringing peace, which is where the saying that I used ,and you hate, comes from!
Go buy some World War II videos and watch them! Maybe it will help you to know what peace and Veterans Day means to the Vets!

Note: I'm not angry because people disagree with my stance. I'm disgusted with those who would come to a tribute poem I wrote for veterans and make me out to be a war monger who accepts soldiers deaths as if they were nothing. I lost a brother ,uncles, an aunt, and cousins to wars plus a man I was going to marry lost his mind. Please don't tell me I like war just because I don't agree with your socialist idea of peace !

As for all those diseases soldiers can get, anyone can get them, in most hospitals right here in the good old USA!
As for all your charitable works they are to be commended. my list doesn't compare now but I do my share of service ,counseling,volunteer in hospitals, St Vincent De Paul, soup kitchens and a few others. Suffice it to say Diana I hope you enjoyed yourself. Also it would be nice if you corrected your blog. I did not start this I wrote a tribute to veterans that you and Mitch chose to comment on that had nothing to do with the tribute. That led me to write the poem that became this blog. You initiated it not me.
